and whirlpool. For the warm months, enjoy the beautiful heated outdoor pool area.
It is a fun and relaxing place for members of all ages. A separate baby pool is
a great place for toddlers to begin enjoying the water and an outdoor grill
provides excellent food.
Water Aerobic Classes
Arthritic Energy Hour
An hour of movement that will elevate your oxygen consumption to your heart,
lings, and muscles. Enjoy the class at your own pace, shallow, deep, or
combination. *Taught by an Arthritis Certified Instructor.
Aquatic Energy Workout
To enhance muscular endurance, improve flexibility, challenge cardiovascular
conditioning. Shallow/Deep Optional.
Aqua Aerobic Hour
An hour of exercise designed to promote cardiovascular fitness, muscle tone,
endurance and flexibility without the stress of traditional land exercise. Add
resistance equipment for more intensity.
Deep Power Hour
These classes are non-impact, high-energy fitness classes utilizing buoyancy
equipment. The classes include cardiovascular endurance and strength training
components. This helps tone the body while maintaining low-impact for the
joints.
Bone Strength/Tone
A muscle toning class with a warm-up period followed by resistance training,
relaxation and stretch segment and to help improve bone density.
H2O Step (Combo)
This class combines the components of aqua fitness with steps that are made
especially for water use. Step in water tones and tightens the lower body while
reducing the joint irritation of land classes.
People with Arthritis Can Exercise P.A.C.E.
Designed to help participants with arthritis and special needs to increase
flexibility and renew energy.
Power Aquatic Hour
An hour of High intensity water workout. A combination of all aqua fitness
classes with the added twist of using resistance equipment. Advanced
choreography and quick moves are incorporated as well as movements of arms,
legs, and torso in flowing patterns.
Golden Lifestyles
This private class in cooperation with Mt. Carmel East Hospital includes
cardiovascular endurance and strength training components specifically geared
for the Senior Population.
At WAC, the Indoor Pool is always kept at 84-86 degrees
per the guidelines of the Arthritic Foundation.
