Spinning
burns serious calories works your heart and builds thigh muscles. It doesn't
involve a lot of coordination so it's easier to concentrate on your form
than in other types of aerobic classes. You can finish a spin class,
regardless of your fitness level, simply by adjusting your pace or the
tension knob on the bike.
Cardio Kick Boxing:
a combination of aerobics, boxing, and martial arts. This total-body workout
can improve strength, aerobic fitness, flexibility, coordination, and
balance. (also known as Tae-Bo) *During a one-hour kickboxing
workout, you can burn from 500 to 800 calories
Pilates 1 - Pilates
is a form of exercise, developed by Joseph
Pilates, which emphasizes the balanced development of the body through
core
strength, flexibility, and awareness in order to support efficient,
graceful movement.
Yoga - Stretching
is certainly involved in yoga; yoga is really about creating balance in
the body through developing both strength and flexibility. Improves
breathing and relaxation.
Shake it Up! - Try
something fun! A mix of cardi/strength and abdominals. The cardio portion
combines a mix of kickboxing, step, hi and low aerobics with some
pylometrics. Two different levels are shown so you can take it to the
level you need.
Gentle Wind -
This
class is based on Tai-Chi/Jufu
(Gentle Wind), a low impact martial art of smooth, gentle, flowing
movements. The slow, deliberate motions aid in the cultivation of a serene
mental state, promotes self-confidence, and facilitates relaxation.
Emphasis placed on proper breathing in order to enhance mental
concentration and harmony of mind and body. It is a wonderful way
to start your day, and an excellent precursor to the practice of
meditation, which is also a part of this relaxing course of instruction.
